About the Program

What is PPST?

Peak Performance Safety Training (PPST) is a dynamic one-hour educational program designed for everyone: athletes, coaches, athletic trainers, first responders, educators, parents, and health professionals. It delivers essential knowledge on optimizing health and performance through proper nutrition, hydration, sleep, and safe training practices. The training also includes critical guidance on recognizing and responding to life-threatening emergencies such as sudden cardiac arrest, exertional heat stroke, exertional sickling due to Sickle Cell Trait (SCT), and exercise-induced asthma.

Why It Matters

Those involved in athletic and tactical environments must understand how overall wellness impact physical performance, whether on the field, in the gym, or working behind the scenes. Our mission is rooted in prevention—specifically, preventing deaths caused by sudden cardiac arrest, exertional heat stroke, exertional sickling due to SCT, and asthma. Since 1998, these conditions have taken the lives of 200+ high school athletes, collegiate athletes, and first responders.
